Ahmed Hozaien

35 years of hospitality experience during which Ahmed has worked and occupied property and regional roles in Europe, Latin America, the Far East, and the Middle East.

Following years of service with various multinational hospitality groups, Ahmed joined Marriott International in 2017 in his current capacity of Area Vice-President for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain & Egypt. He started his career in the F&B department in 1989, then shifted to the Rooms division before occupying managerial positions. Ahmed became a hotel General Manager for the first time in 2000, whilst multi-property and regional responsibilities were delegated to him for the first time in 2008.

Holder of a Bachelor of Art in Hotel Management from Helwan University Cairo in 1986, Ahmed also has an MBA from ESSEC Business School Paris, obtained in 2009, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality Asset Management from Glion Institute Switzerland, obtained in 2017.

Throughout 35 years of hospitality, Ahmed has worked in 8 countries and 4 continents. He is passionate about people and enjoys discovering the world’s different cultures. During his 12 years of experience in Saudi Arabia, Ahmed saw the country's transformation with the Kingdom being positioned today as an attractive destination for international leisure tourism, alongside a great boost to three existing important sectors, namely religious, business and leisure travel.
